π Story Time is on Facebook - Live!
You can catch Miss Kathy Preschool Tuesdays and Toddler Wednesdays at 10 am here on the Sturgis Public Library Facebook. Each week Miss Kathy puts together a "Grab Bag" of activities that accommodate each story hour. Call for curbside pickup or stop in during business hours to grab one for the kiddos. *Limited number available, first come first served.
Monday, March 8th Digital Spotlight - Miss Humblebee's Academy pt.3

Test your brain with Miss Kathy's craft and challenge bags! Bags available on March 1st, 15th, and 22nd.
ποΈ March CRAYON Madness!
March 1st - 29th ~ Which color in a box of 16 will be the winning crayon? Stop in the library each week to vote on your favorite color in each bracket. The final 2 crayons will be voted on March 29th & 30th. The winning color will be announced on March 31st, NATIONAL CRAYON DAY! Will the winning color match what people world-wide say is their favorite color?

ADULT PROGRAMS -
π Mad March Scavenger Hunt - ADULTS ONLY
**Participation is optional. Alternate participation options may be available upon request. Participant information will not be misused or made public by the library. Scavenger Hunt open March 1-31, 2021.
Participants can join the game by following these simple steps:
1. Download the GooseChase iOS or Android app.
2. Choose to play as a guest, or register for a personal account with a username & password of your choice.
3. Search and select the Mad March Scavenger Hunt (ADULT) game, or searchable by game code JWKM6B
4. Select a team. Complete as many missions as you can before March is over!

π Winter Reading Tracker Bookshelf - ADULTS ONLY
Stop in and pick up your blank bookshelf bookmark to record your 2021 reads. If you turn it in before the year-end, you will receive a special gift!

π¨ Stagebarn Middle School Art Show @ the Library
Visit the library this March and view the 6th Grade Superhero Self-Portraits, 7th Grade Watercolor Contour Self-Portraits, and 8th Grade Strange Vegetation Sculptures.
β CALLING ALL QUILTERS β
The library's Quilt Show is from May 17th - June 30th, 2021. Participants can bring in a maximum of 2 quilts, no larger than full-size, to be displayed and observed by the community. Quilt submissions are accepted May 1st-15th. Please call the library with questions at (605) 347-2624.
Green Thumb Gala π»
The Library is once again planning our Green Thumb Gala Fundraiser! Tentatively scheduled for May 17th - 21st, 2021. You can bring in plants and decorated pots for auction. Let's start dreaming for Spring!

Current Library Guidelines & Protocols -
- HOURS: Mon-Thurs 8am-7pm | Friday 8am-5pm | Saturday 8am-4pm
- Masks are mandatory inside the library (if you cannot wear a mask, please utilize our curbside or book delivery service)
- Computer/Laptop/Homework Space available for 1-hour time slots
- Limited group study and meeting spaces available.
- Magazines and Newspapers now available.
- Children 8+ permitted without supervision.
Sturgis Student Library Cards Available
Children ages 5-16 that are attending Meade County Schools are eligible to sign-up for a Sturgis Public Library card by calling the library at (605) 347-2624. Library cards will grant students access to thousands of ebooks on Black Hills Overdrive.

Sturgis Community Good Deeds Program
Grocery Shopping for individuals at high-risk.
Max $50 limit, check only and must be within Sturgis city limits. Monday-Friday.

For those wanting to check out books without entering the library, we offer Curbside Pick-up services, as well as Home Book Deliveries. Please call the library for more information.
