STURGIS – The City of Sturgis is seeking a City Administrator with strong leadership skills and a minimum of 10 years experience to lead the city.
The salary for the position ranges from $130,000 to $145,000, depending on applicable, verifiable qualifications and experiences.
The city is accepting applications until Dec. 4.
Acting Mayor Kevin Forrester said the city seeks someone with a master's degree in Public Administration (or related educational field of study). He said experience in lieu of education may be considered.
The city would also consider a candidate with a bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business Management, Economics, Finance, or closely related field from an accredited university. Applicants should have a minimum of 10 years progressive responsibility as a City Administrator or equivalent managerial position in an organization of comparable complexity.
