The 2024 Sturgis City-Wide Spring Cleanup is scheduled for May 6-10.

During this week, you can place unwanted items curbside near your trash tote by 7 a.m. on your normal trash day and they will be picked up by the Public Works Department. 

The following items will be picked up: 

White goods/metal, appliances, bicycles, untreated lumber, rubble, furniture, building materials, etc. 

Appliances that use freon must have a signed EPA form attached, and all freon must be drained. 

Items that will NOT be picked up include: 

Liquid paint, batteries, chemicals, tires, and hazardous materials such as oil and pesticides. 

Lawn waste and branches can be taken to the recycling lot or rubble site for free disposal by showing a city utility bill. 

Please sort similar items into piles near your tote, but do not block access to your tote.
