STURGIS – Results from the Tuesday, April 9, Sturgis Municipal Election will not be available until all ballots are counted which could be after 10 p.m. Tuesday.

City Finance Officer Adam Hosch said hand counting ballots takes time. Even though polls close at 7 p.m., the city has realized that having the counting board tally all the ballots takes hours of painstaking work. 

When available, the results will be posted both on the city’s website and the Facebook page. An email with the results will also be sent to all media.
