STURGIS – An update on the 2024 budget and consideration of a resolution in support of a city housing project are among the items on the agenda of the Monday, July 31, Sturgis City Council meeting. 

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers at Sturgis City Hall, 1040 Harley-Davidson Way, Sturgis.

Sturgis Finance Officer Fay Bueno will provide an update on the 2024 budget. First reading of the budget will be at the Aug. 21, meeting of the Sturgis City Council.

Also on the agenda is consideration of a resolution in support of a city housing project being done by Pivot Development Group, LLC. Pivot has shared preliminary plans of the Harvest Meadows and Valley View new residential housing developments that will incorporate public infrastructure. They desire assistance from the South Dakota Housing Development Authority which provides grants and loans for housing infrastructure.

The council will also consider approving a long list of temporary Rally staff, two variances, a Use on Review and several Rally sponsorship agreements.
