It's National Public Works Week. 

This national week exists to celebrate the men and women across the country who provide and maintain our infrastructure. 

The Sturgis Public Works department operates at the heart of our community continually planning, building, managing, and operating all facets of the community to support residents and businesses. 

Sturgis Public Works Director Rick Bush said people don’t always realize what the Public Works department does, but they are an integral part of your day from the time you turn the water on in the shower in the morning to driving home on city streets at night. Public Works does it all from snow removal to mowing the grass, keeping our parks clean and most recently painting all the curbs in town.
