Sturgis Leprechaun Hunt slated

The Sturgis Rally & Events Department is sponsoring the first Sturgis Leprechaun Hunt.

The scavenger hunt is scheduled March 17 to March 19.

City staff will provide leprechauns for more than 60 area businesses who will hide them somewhere in the public area of their business. Customers will be able to pick up a passport with all participating businesses names and addresses.

Customers will find their “pot of gold” when eight participating businesses sign their passport. All entries will be entered into a grand prize drawing for $150, $100 and $50 in gift items from local Sturgis businesses.

It begins Friday, March 17, when participants can pick up their passport at Sturgis Hometown Market from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. They can also pick up passports from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Market.

Participants must turn in their passport by 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 19.

The prize drawing will be Monday, March 20 and winners will then be notified.
