Job Title: Sanitation Operator (2 positions)

Salary range: $18.89 to $21.52 with CDL

Location: PWD Campus, 1057 Dudley Street

Department: Public Works

Hours: Full-time (40 hours a week), non-exempt with REGULAR overtime opportunities. Eligible for benefits.

Job Description:

Responsible for the collection, transport and disposal of the City's refuse, garbage and recyclables in accordance with established routes and schedules using City’s automated trucks.  Includes transporting to Belle Fourche Landfill for disposal.  Responsible for the operation and (minor) maintenance of the City's sanitation trucks. Responsible for assistance with snow removal, sanding, and de-icing efforts during winter season and/or blizzard conditions.

• High School Diploma (or GED) (required)

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (with acceptable driving record) (required)

• One (1) year with heavy equipment or related industry (preferred)

• Able to lift up to 50lbs frequently

• Must be willing to work some weekends and holidays in accordance with shift schedules
