Job Title: Paramedic
Salary range: $27.00 for Paramedics, off orientation. $29.00 for Critical Care Paramedics, off orientation
Location: Sturgis Ambulance, 1901 Ballpark Road
Department: Ambulance
Hours: Full-time with benefits, part-time and PRN - flexible shifts available (8, 12, 24 hour options), Maximum 1,039 hours per year.
Start date: Immediately but must complete orientation within 90 days of hire
Job Description:
Respond to 911 calls for care of critically ill and injured persons at accidents, emergencies, and other incidents. Provide emergency pre-hospital medical care in accordance with protocols (including making provisional diagnoses, providing advanced life support, administering medication, intubating patients, etc.). Ensure vehicles and equipment are operationally ready.
- Must be a South Dakota certified Paramedic.
- PRN and flexible scheduling – 8 hour, 12 hour and 24 hour shifts available
- Possess valid South Dakota Driver’s License (with acceptable driving record)
- Prior experience as a Paramedic required
