Geographic Information System (GIS)
A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a computerized mapping system used for decision making and comprehending geography. GIS provides a framework for gathering and organizing data so that it can be displayed and analyzed. The City of Sturgis utilizes GIS software to update, create, and maintain features throughout the City so this information can be shared with the general public.
